In celebration of the NJ Association of Women Business Owners’s 30th anniversa­ry, the organization recognized the Top 30 members in the State of New Jersey for their accomplishments.  Award recipients were recognized based on revenue and profit growth, contributions made in the business community and challenges they faced and overcame along the way.

Cheryl Pliskin

Cheryl is the owner of Jest Notes & Baskets, a corporate gift basket com­pany. Dubbed as the premier “Client Retention Specialist”, her expertise is using gift baskets to develop loyalty pro­grams. In this economy, effective pros­pecting, retaining clients and reducing employee turnover are crucial. Creating affordable ways to do this is her niche.

Cheryl’s company has grown to over 350 corporate accounts across the country solely by referrals. A consummate networker, she constantly looks for ways to connect her clients to one another. As a former marriage & family therapist, Cheryl uses her training in dealing with personal relationships to focus on busi­ness relationships. They are really the same: making people feel special and valued.

Founder of a weekly networking group, Synergy Works, based in South Jersey, she also serves on the Boards of Directors for Tri-County NJAWBO and the Cherry Hill Jewish Business Network. Recently spotlighted on SportsNet and Fox News, Jest Notes & Baskets designed the baskets and arranged for corporate sponsorship for the Flyers Players’ Favorite Things Silent Auction to benefit the Comcast Foundation Children’s Fund. For the 5th consecutive year, she has been invited to teach classes at the Rave Reviews National Gift Basket Convention.

Named the 16th Fastest Growing Company in South Jersey in 2006 by the Philadelphia Business Journal, Cheryl is incredibly proud of this recognition by the business community. She and her staff of all stay-at-home moms dedicate themselves to enhanc­ing the bottom line of their clients. A familiar face at fundraisers throughout the area, over the past 10 years Cheryl & her family have raised 4 Seeing Eye puppies as part of her commitment to provide service.

Terry Wilson

Terry Wilson, of WhosComing.com, began developing websites in 1995, transitioning from a long career in graphic art and illustration. Her work combines her artistic and database skills to produce interac­tive, efficient, and user-friendly web applications. Most prominent among these is WhosComing.com, an online reservation system for meetings and events. Started in 2004, WhosComing.com serves numer­ous area business groups, along with web-based international clients.

Terry is also a photographer focusing on stock photography and busi­ness portraiture. She holds a BA in Studio Art from University of California, Irvine and is a member of numerous business associations in South Jersey.
